The INSPIRE journey
“Yoga isn’t about being good at something.
It’s about being good to yourself.”
About 15 years ago, I unrolled my mat for the very first time and discovered a practice that changed my life forever. At first, I tried yoga to help alleviate chronic pain, anxiety and depression that I had been enduring after a car accident. Time spent on my mat soon offered me peace, strength, courage, acceptance and a deeper connection to myself. In a sense, I began to feel whole again.
Yoga provided the space to look deep within, the space to feel and to know myself better. Most importantly, yoga has taught, and continues to teach me to love and accept myself, no matter what I am experiencing. It became my support system through life’s ups and downs.
I teach yoga because I want others to experience the gifts that my yoga practice has given me, such as love and kindness. My intention is to make your yoga experience one that you can take with you, off your mat and into your daily life. I want to inspire you to practice in a loving and kind way in order to create positive change within yourself and in the world around you.
Life is all about balance and, by investing in self-care, you will radiate more love and compassion to the others around you.
My quest to learn
To further deepen my personal practice, I enrolled in my first 200-hour YTT in 2009 and became a Certified Hatha Vinyasa Yoga Instructor. A few years later, I slowly stepped out of my comfort zone and started sharing these amazing gifts with others.
I later completed my 100-hour Yin Yoga Certification and training in Restorative Yoga, Chair Yoga, SUP Yoga and Kids Yoga, as well as my 500-hour designation. I’m also certified level 2 in Reiki and I continue to take yoga-related workshops.
I will forever be a student of yoga.
Yoga is more than a form of exercise or a series of poses. This practice has truly shaped the person I am today. Through commitment, practice and sharing what I feel passionate about, INSPIRE YOGA has taken flight. I feel truly blessed to have found my purpose in life by sharing this path.
Together, let’s inspire real change, one act of kindness at a time.
With love, Anne
