About the Recipe

Cool down with this antioxydant-rich iced tea! Perfect to enjoy on hot summer days.

Ingredients

  • 1-2 Tbsp dried hibiscus flower (or tea)

  • 3 cups water

  • 2 cups mixed berries (I used strawberries, blueberries and raspberries)

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice

  • 3 cups sparkling water

Preparation

  1. Bring water to a boil. Remove the boiling water from the heat and add to the dried hibiscus. Let it steep for 5 minutes.

  2. While tea is steeping, add sliced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and lemon juice to a large glass jar (I used a 4 cup mason jar) and set the berry mixture aside.

  3. Pour the cooled strained tea into the jar with the berry mixture.  Add to the refrigerator to chill for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.

  4. To serve, pour equal parts tea and sparkling water into a glass with ice.

NOTE: If you prefer a sweeter version, you can add a splash of maple syrup.
